Two Woman Injured after SUV Hits Deer in Central Maine

Two women were taken to the hospital Tuesday night after their SUV hit a deer just north of Bangor.

Police say the vehicle was heading north on Broadway in Glenburn around 9:30 p.m. when it struck a deer and skidded off the road.

The SUV flipped onto its side in the ditch and came to rest near a stand of trees.

WABI reports both women sustained minor injuries and were taken to a Bangor hospital. The deer did not survive the collision.

The roads were snow-covered at the time.
