Two Vehicle Crash In Mapleton [PHOTOS]

A man and a women from Mapleton were treated for non-life threatening injuries after a two vehicle accident Monday morning on Main Street, near the intersections of Pulcifer Road in Mapleton.

Police said, 27-year-old Andrew Maynard from Mapleton fell asleep at the wheel and crossed the center line of the road around 5:35 am, Monday. 61-year-old Valerie DeLong from Mapleton tried to avoid his 2008 Ford F-150, but was struck on her driver's side door of her 2008 GMC Envoy.

Mapleton Firefighters extracted Delong from her vehicle, said Stephen MCausland, Public Safety Spokesman.

Maynard & DeLong were not transported by ambulance. They suffered non-life threatening injuries, said McCausland.

Trooper Ryan P Kilcollins responded to the crash.
