Police say two teens were killed and another was critically injured Friday night in a single-vehicle crash on Route 16 in Port Elgin, New Brunswick.

The Southeast District RCMP received a report of the crash shortly after 8 p.m. The victims, an 18-year-old man from Sackville and a 16-year-old boy from Melrose, N.B., passed away at the scene as a result of their injuries.

A 17-year-old boy from Port Elgin was taken to hospital with serious injuries where he remained in critical condition Saturday.

RCMP say the car was traveling on Route 16, one kilometre east of the East Main Road intersection when it went off the road and rolled over several times.

An RCMP reconstructionist was called to the scene Friday night. The investigation into the cause of the crash is continuing.
