Truck Fire in Madawaska Lake TWP

Two people escaped a vehicle fire unharmed on Tuesday evening in Madawaska Lake TWP.

At just after 7:00 PM, North Lakes Fire and Rescue was dispatched to a report of a vehicle on fire at 2509 US Route 161, Madawaska Lake TWP. North Lakes responded with five apparatus and about fifteen personnel.

Crews arrived on scene to a fully involved Chevy Pickup with two occupants standing clear outside the vehicle with no injuries.

Firefighters secured the scene and checked for injuries, extinguished the fire and ran traffic control until area law enforcement (Aroostook County Sheriff's Deptartment Deputy 217) and the wrecker service arrived on scene.

North Lakes personnel remained on scene providing scene lighting, scene safety and traffic control until the wrecker service and law enforcement had cleared the area.
