
Trader Joe’s Expands With 4 New Stores Coming to New England
The grocery store chain recently announced plans to open over 40 new locations nationwide in the near future.
It’s not an exaggeration to say that Trader Joe’s expansion is something people here in Maine and across New England have been crossing their fingers and knocking on wood for. We already have one location down in Portland, but when it comes to Trader Joe’s, the more the merrier, right?

So, with that in mind, what are the details of this expansion from Trader Joe’s, and where in New England can we expect these new stores?
According to Trader Joe’s store locator, 41 new stores are set to open nationwide in 2025, including locations in Hamden and Shelton, Connecticut, as well as Boston and Newton, Massachusetts.

Trader Joe’s is thriving while many other retailers are cutting back, and their steady expansion means shoppers could see even more new stores in the future.
With so many locations already packed, the news of new stores—and the hope for another in Maine—comes as a welcome announcement.
