Maine State Police have charged three young men from northern Aroostook County in connection with a burglary at a gas station in St. Francis this summer.

Trooper Travis Luce responded to a report of a burglary at Chamberlain’s Market on Route 161 in St. Francis on the morning of August 27.  He was able to retrieve video evidence from the surveillance camera system that indicated three people entered the store and stole tobacco products, according to information from Sgt. Jeff Clark.

Over the next month, Trooper Luce interviewed several people and witnesses and learned the identities of the suspects.

State Police have charged 21-year-old Joshua Hafford of Fort Kent, 18-year-old Anthony McBreairty of Cross Lake, and 19-year-old Brandon Levesque of Madawaska with Class C Burglary and Class E Theft.  All three men are to appear in court in Fort Kent on November 7th.

Trooper Luce was assisted by officers from the Madawaska and Fort Kent Police Departments.
