This Quirky Cottage in Maine is Straight Out of a Storybook
Have you heard of that company that turns children's drawings into plush toys? They do a fantastic job of taking imaginative illustrations and turning them into stuffed animals. I was reminded of the company when I came across this storybook cottage listed for sale by auction.
From its topsy towering lanterns to its quirkadoodle shingles, this place will make your fantasies of rickety old cartoon cottages come true.
First, you enter the driveway and are greeted by this adorably crooked li'l structure. Is it a mailbox? A mini fridge? a receptacle for fresh baked goods from your cartoon animal neighbors? Who can say.
Get a little closer and you're face-to-face with these adorable double doors just begging to be pulled open wide and walked through like the princess you are.
Now, you find yourself inside. Spoiler alert: It's just as delightfully fantastical as the outside. Yes, that bed is hanging from the hammock, allowing you to swing gleefully to sleep.
All in all, your dreams of the storybook cottage from your childhood dreams exists in real life, and it's right here in Maine. Boothbay, to be precise. What are the chances?!
