The Voice Season 13 Blind Auditions night six aired Tuesday night (Oct. 10) with coaches Adam Levine, Blake Shelton, Miley Cyrus and new girl on the block Jennifer Hudson. Shelton's team was rounded out this night by Colorado native Kristi Hoopes, who delivered a blazing rendition of Trisha Yearwood's 2007 hit, "Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love."

Hoopes, decked out '70s style in a floppy hat, turtleneck, silver conch belt and high-waisted flares, unsurprisingly got Shelton to turn right away with her assured delivery. He was followed by Levine ("Why did you do that? What's wrong with you?" griped Shelton) and Hudson shortly after.

Levine told Hoopes that she was "brilliant" and "not cookie-cutter," adding "There's a plethora of country artists on Blake's team; you've got a completely open field on my team."

"I just love your sass," Hudson commented. "You have a big voice -- and I know a little bit about that too! I think it would be exciting to go outside the norm...it could separate you from the other country artists by standing alone."

Shelton had the perfect clapback: "I bet you, or you, or you," he observed coolly, indicating his fellow coaches, "Had no idea who sang that song she just performed."

Despite further protests from Levine ("You need to think outside the box!"), it was clear that Hoopes was a shoo-in for Team Shelton. And so it was: "In my heart and my soul, I need to pick Blake," she said.

Season 13 of The Voice airs on Monday and Tuesday nights at 8PM ET on NBC.
