The County Fiddlehead Festival is Going to be Awesome this Year
Festival Dates are May 20 -22
The County's Fiddlehead Festival starts Friday, May 20 and continues through Sunday, May 22 with a whole list of activities. Galen Weibley, the Event Coordinator, said there are some exciting things returning this year and some new activities too.
Live Music
The festival gets started with live music on Friday evening. Local favorites, No Pressure, will play Rockin’ on Riverside in Presque Isle. Weibley said, “There will be food and vendors for the downtown concert. We're also encouraging people to support local businesses as much as possible, like restaurants around town.”
Looking Forward to Seeing Everybody
The organizers are looking forward to big crowds coming out to enjoy the festival. “We’re really hoping to have folks from away come to the County and experience springtime in Aroostook County, and take in all there is to see and do,” said Weibley.

More Events and Activities
There’s a whole list of events and things to do all day on Saturday including the Rotary Fun Run and bird watching tours. Weibley added, "There’s going to be trout hatchery tours from Micmac Farms on Caribou Road. They’re going to be doing free tours for people to learn about trout.” The live art battle with the Aroostook Partners in the Arts is a highlight. “That was a lot of fun last year where they do a live art battle with the different artists in the community.”
Fireworks
The fireworks are always exciting. They get started around 9:00 p.m. You can get a good view of the display almost anywhere in downtown Presque Isle. Bring a blanket and some chairs and hang out to see the show.
