With the weather being slightly out of the ordinary, it begs the question to be asked; could Maine have tornadoes?

Does Maine get tornadoes? You bet.

Fortunately, no one was killed

We obviously don't experience them nearly as regularly as "tornado alley" in the middle of the country, but we actually get our fair share of severe storms right here in Vacationland.

With a violent tornado outbreak in the South and Midwest this week, it's probably a good thing to remember: while they're really rare, tornadoes can happen right here in Maine, too.
