Coronavirus Update

So far, about 90,000 Mainers have received their first dose of the vaccine to prevent COVID-19. Over 25,000 have received their second dose.

MAINE UPDATE: The Maine Center for Disease Control today reports 701 new coronavirus cases and 11 more deaths in its daily tracking count. Aroostook County has 18 new infections today. Cases have been climbing in Maine since mid-October, and especially since the holidays.

MAINE UPDATE: The Maine Center for Disease Control Monday is reporting 317 new coronavirus cases and three additional deaths. Currently, 205 people are hospitalized with COVID-19 in the state. Maine has been awarded nearly 90 million dollars to support coronavirus vaccine distribution and to expand testing across the state.

The updated vaccine strategy also focuses on people with high-risk medical conditions.

Currently, over 200 people are hospitalized with COVID-19 in the state, including 68 who are in critical condition.
