At the union bargaining committee meeting held Monday night, the Association of UNB Teachers set Monday, January 13th as the deadline.

The association represents more than 800 full-time and contract academic staff and librarians at UNB, including those in Fredericton, Saint John, Moncton and Bathurst.

The administration has offered a salary increase of 8.4% over four years for professors and more than 12.5% over four years for entry-level assistant professors.

The union last proposed an economic adjustment of about 14 per cent over two years, or seven per cent per year. Negotiations between the union and the university administration have been ongoing since March.
