'Team Maine' won a National Bronze Medal in their division. Final score against Tennessee was 28-21. They were down by 5 with 5 seconds left in the first half and Charlie Tozier from Bangor hit a 3 pointer to give them momentum heading into the 2nd half.

'Team Maine' was down in the second half by 5 points and fought back with great defense and timely offense for the victory.

Every member of Team Maine contributed to their victory in the Bronze Medal game today and coach Brian Hamel says he can't begin to describe how proud he is of his team.

'Team Maine' was on the brink of not getting a medal when they lost to South Dakota 30-10, but they refused to quit and came home with a medal.

Phil Hanson from Aroostook County was a force scoring in the bronze medal game and with his rebounds. Phil's brother Austin played tremendous defense particularly in the second half with a number of steals and his ball handling was great down the stretch. Tasha Flaherty played a key role of the bench with some great hustle and defense.
