What a comeback win for the Boston Red Sox Friday night! They beat the Yankees 5-4, scoring two runs in the bottom of the 9th inning and the winning run came on a bases loaded walk-off walk.

Trailing 4-3 and facing the Aroldis Chapman, Mookie Betts and Dustin Pedroia got things started with infield hits. Then a double steal put the Sox in great position.

A Xander Bogaerts infield grounder was bobbled and the tying run scored.

After intentionally walking Hanley Ramirez to load the bases, Champman walked Andrew Benintendi to bring in the game winner.

The Sox had increased their lead in the AL East, the Yanks had their 18th blown save of the year.

Earlier in the day, big off-the-field news when third baseman Pablo Sandoval was released. The team will eat the remaining $49-million-dollars he is owed through 2019.
