Salvation Army Bells Will Be Ringing

A 122 year tradition will continue this year as the Salvation Army officially kicks off its Christmas Kettle Campaign on Thursday, November 14th.  The organization hopes to have over 100 kettles throughout the state.  So when you do your shopping this season remember those that are in need.

In 2012,  the Kettle effort enabled the Salvation Army to provide services and programs to more than 55,000 people statewide and throughout the year.  The charitable organization has a goal to raise $800,000 from this year's campaign.

It's easy enough to do.  When you make a trip to the store, carry a few dollars in cash or some change.  On your way out to your car drop it in the bucket.  It's the holiday season after all.  Glad tidings, good cheer and a leg up for those who need it most.
