SAGE Kicks Off Fall Class Offerings at UMPI

A program that welcomes intellectually curious adults, age 50 and older, will host its fall kick-off event.

Seniors Achieving Greater Education (SAGE) will host its fall kick-off event at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10 in the Campus Center at the University of Maine at Presque Isle. Coffee will be served starting at 9:30 a.m.

SAGE is for those 50+ who have a desire to learn in the company of people with both shared and different perspectives.

There is an annual membership fee of $25 which is good from Sept. 1, 2019 – Aug. 31, 2020 and a $5 charge for each course. For field trips and some hands-on courses, there will be additional fees.

Some of the courses being offered include Finding Your Ancestors, Hospice & End of Life Decision-Making, Senior Water Fitness, Reading Contemporary Poets, Let’s Go to the Movies, with field trips to the Maysville Museum and the Presque Isle Air Museum.
