Hillbillies across the state of Maine are in hog heaven, as it was recently announced that the Redneck “Blank” Pig Roast and Music Festival is set to get underway again this year in Hebron.

The town’s Board of Selectmen must be a group of Good Ol’ Boys because earlier last week, they granted organizer Harold Brooks a permit for the event that attracted nearly 3,000 people last year.

Events at the Redneck Olympics, so to speak, consist of bobbing for pigs’ feet, toilet-seat horseshoes, lawnmower races, and pie eating contests. However, this year, organizers are also adding a demolition derby and a beer tent just to keep everyone in the true redneck spirit.

The Redneck “Blank” Pig Roast and Music Festival will take place on August 1-4. For more information about the festival, or to order tickets, click here.
