I love to cook and I love to eat! My mom came to the rescue once again and gave me her recipe for homemade blueberry cake.

This was totally my first experience with making a cake from scratch, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out! Here's what you'll need:

  • 3 cups flour
  • 2 cups cugar
  • 3 TSP baking powder
  • 1 TSP salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup cooking oil
  • 1/2 TSP vanilla
  • 2 cups blueberries

Mix dry ingredients together in a large bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil & vanilla. Beat for 2 minutes, then fold in blueberries.

For the topping you'll need to mix 3/4 TSP nutmeg and 1/2 cup sugar, then pour over the wet cake batter evenly.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes.

This is a super easy, super delicious recipe if you like to getting you baking on! I know my co-workers are happy, as I brought some in to share!
