The Presque Isle City Council is offering an informal way for residents to share their suggestions, comments and concerns about the 2014 city budget.  During the month of September, the City Council will conduct a listening tour, hosted by three different Main Street restaurants.

The listening tour opens Monday, September 9th at 5:30 p.m. at the Irish Setter Pub. The second meeting will be on Monday, September 16th at 5:30 p.m. at Bonanza Steakhouse. The final session will be on Saturday, September 28th at 7:30 a.m. at Star City Coffee.

Listening tours are designed to create an open, comfortable setting in which councilors can gain a better understanding of expectations of services provided by the City of Presque Isle.  It’s a chance for residents to give some insight as to the direction they would like to see Presque Isle grow.

Council Chair Emily Smith stated, “The council and I are looking forward to spending time with neighbors discussing how we can best serve the community.”

All community stakeholders are welcome to attend and participate in the discussions in preparation for the 2014 budget process to commence in October.
