Pedestrian Injured After Being Struck by a Vehicle in Presque Isle
A pedestrian crossing State street - at the intersection of Dudley Street - was struck by a vehicle Wednesday night in Presque Isle.
Katherine Asam from Presque Isle was taken to A.R. Gould Hospital with broken bones after being hit by the vehicle around 9:07 pm. The 17-year-old male driver was uninjured. His name was not released.
Police said the driver’s attention was averted when he reached to adjust the radio. When he looked forward, Asam was already crossing the street and was hit.
The accident is under investigation by Officer Alexander and was reconstructed by Officer White.
Presque Isle Police along with Presque Isle Fire & Ambulance responded to the accident.
