One Killed After a Motorcycle Hit a Telephone Pole in Orono, Maine
ORONO, Maine (AP) — Police in Orono, Maine, say a motorcycle operator is dead after crashing into a telephone pole.
Orono police say the operator crossed the center line Saturday morning, hit the telephone pole and was thrown from the motorcycle.
WLBZ-TV reports that the operator died at the scene. Police didn't release the identity.
The crash remains under investigation and is being reconstructed by Old Town Police and Penobscot County Sheriff's Office. The operator was not wearing a helmet.
