Northeast Gas Prices Continue to Head Down
As temperatures go up, the price of gasoline continues to fall in New England.
Prices at the pump in Maine fell 3.5 cents to $2.23 a gallon on average, according to the latest survey by GasBuddy.com. In Presque Isle, gas averaged $2.29 a gallon.
Elsewhere around the region, New Hampshire showed a drop of 2.7 cents a gallon to $2.19. Gas stations in Vermont saw a 4.2 cents drop to an average $2.28 a gallon.
The national average price per gallon declined 2.6 cents down to $2.25 per gallon. That's an 11.5 cents decrease per gallon during the last month and is 5.7 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
