New Medicare Education Coordinator Named
The Aroostook Agency on Aging has tapped its Intake Coordinator to be the new Medicare Education Coordinator.
Tara Henderson will lead the Agency’s effort to assist people as they consider their Medicare and insurance options for those making changes during the open enrollment period and for those new enrollees.
In her newly expanded role, Tara will coordinate open enrollment clinics held throughout Aroostook County in the fall. Community volunteers work alongside agency staff at these clinics to aid individuals in comparing benefit renewal options, along with the associated costs.
Tara graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the University of Maine at Presque Isle. She was hired in 2005 by the Aroostook Agency on Aging and since that time has held several positions.
“I look forward to working with community volunteers to expand clinic and counseling offerings in this program,” explained Henderson. “The more volunteers we engage, the more people we can help with this important service.”
