Gas prices at the pumps around the region have seen a slight decline in the past week.

According to a survey by GasBuddy.com, the average price per gallon here in Maine fell 1,6 cents, down to $2.35 a gallon. In the Star City, pump prices were a little more than 20 cents higher, checking in at $2.57 a gallon.

New Hampshire's average per gallon price dropped by 1.7 cents to $2.28. Vermont had the smallest decrease in gas prices, falling just a penny from last week to $2.34.

The national average was $2.32 a gallon. That's 2.4 cents lower than a week ago. It's also 3.7 cents higher than a month ago and 15.7 cents higher than last year at this time.
