To determine the results, Cheapism relied on a Coffeeness report that analyzed 2025 Google Trends search data for 27 packaged ice cream brands across all 50 U.S. states, then identified the most-searched brand in each state to highlight regional popularity patterns. The findings were categorized as needed to establish the final results.

With that cleared up, what is the most popular ice cream brand in Maine that also happens to be a New England staple?

According to Cheapism and their recent report highlighting the ‘Most Popular Ice Cream at the Grocery Store in Every State,’ the most popular ice cream brand in Maine is also the most popular in 13 other states—the most of any brand listed—Ben & Jerry’s.

Founded in Vermont, Ben and Jerry’s has become a household name thanks to its playful flavors and loyal fan base.

Cheapism continues by noting that while some might find the brand’s ice cream ‘a little too busy,’ it remains beloved by many who can’t get enough of its quirky creations.
