The one time cash payout is estimated to be $445.3 million before taxes, according to WABI News. Winners can also take the full jackpot in annual payments over 30 years.
The Record Jackpot was $1.602 Billion and Won in 2023
The record prize in Mega Millions history was $1.602 billion. It was won with a single ticket in Florida on August 8, 2023. The chances of winning are 1 in 290,472,336.
45 States Sell Mega Millions Lottery Tickets
Maine sells Meg Million tickets along with 44 other states including Washington D.C. and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Weekly Drawings for the Lottery are Twice a Week
Drawings for the lottery are held on Tuesday and Friday nights at 11 pm every week.
