Man Walking on Tracks in Maine Killed By Amtrak Train

BIDDEFORD, Maine (AP) — Authorities say a pedestrian who was hit by a passenger train in Maine has died.

Biddeford Police said a southbound Amtrak train struck a 42-year-old man who was walking on the tracks in Biddeford late Sunday afternoon. The man's name has not been released, pending notification of relatives.

The train continued to Boston several hours later. The incident remains under investigation.
