The Maine State Police K-9 unit helped track down a central Maine man who wandered from his Glenburn residence without the proper clothing and equipment for the elements, said officials.

Police were called about the incident Tuesday morning around 6 a.m.

Sgt. Barry Meserve and K-9 Doyle tracked him about 2 miles in the woods, and located him the same morning. He suffered from exposure to the elements and was taken to the hospital.

The Maine man’s name was not given.
