A Rainy Night in Maine with Lainey
What a compliment to Lainey Wilson as thousands not only showed up to Maine Savings Amphitheater for another amazing show but did so on a very wet and otherwise cold Maine, June, Saturday evening.
Hours before the show, the line outside the entrance grew quickly filled with excited Mainers wearing bell-bottoms and ponchos. Waterfront Concerts has brought the party once again to Bangor.
Zach Top and Ian Munsick Kicked Things Off in Bangor, Maine
The young and talented Zach Top showed exactly why Nashville quickly latched onto this artist from a small town in Washington. He played many of his fan favorites from his second studio album, Cold Beer & Country Music.
Wyoming native Ian Munsick is rapidly growing in the country music genre. His second studio album White Buffalo was re-released in April and his hit "Long Live Cowgirls" never sounded better than heard live through the superb sound system at Maine Savings Amphitheater.
Lainey Wilson Showed Maine That She IS Entertainer of the Year
It took Lainey Wilson 10 years of perseverance to receive well-deserved notoriety, and the love she received Saturday proved that never giving up pays off. There is a reason people stood in line in the rain for hours followed by sitting in the rain for hours to watch Lainey Wilson perform on stage.
She is the 2023 CMA Entertainer of the Year and the 2024 ACM Entertainer of the year. Maine received a firsthand demonstration as to why Wilson has been dominating the country music genre.
Lainey Wilson on stage felt like watching one of your best friends. She is real, she is authentic, and boy is she fun! It was so easy to become completely captivated by her twang and energy where one could completely forget that it was raining. One thing is for sure - "Hang Tight Honey" will be playing in our heads well into this work week and we all left Saturday night pumped and ready for the next country music show by Waterfront Concerts. See below for who is up next!
Wilson's new album "Whirlwind" will be released in August.
