Cooper Flagg Spotted at Riley Green Concert in Bangor

The Newport native and young Dallas Mavericks star was seen at the Maine Savings Amphitheater over the weekend.

It was a busy weekend in Bangor, with a sold-out Riley Green concert drawing a large crowd to the Maine Savings Amphitheater on Saturday, August 15th.

Green brought his ‘Cowboy As It Gets Tour’ to the waterfront with special guests Justin Moore, Zach John King, and Hannah McFarland, and among those in Bangor for the weekend was the NBA’s most recent Rookie of the Year.

As posted to the Maine Savings Amphitheater’s Facebook page on Sunday, August 16th, the venue shared photos recapping Riley Green’s concert from the previous night, highlighting the crowd and the show.

The photos included a group shot featuring Cooper Flagg, with the venue noting that the Mavericks forward was in attendance while Green performed on stage.

Flagg grew up in Newport and attended Nokomis Regional High School, where he helped lead the Warriors to a Class A state championship before continuing his basketball career at Montverde Academy in Florida.

While Flagg’s return to his home state is not unusual given his ties to Maine, his presence still allows local fans to see one of basketball’s top young players close to home.
