Once again, the price of gas in northern New England has dropped a bit in the past week.

That news may be tempered after an attack on major oil sites in Saudi Arabia.  GasBuddy.com's Patrick DeHaan said while there's some good news that drivers shouldn't expect a sudden and major uptick in gas prices, there may be a minor impact starting next week after the attack.

According to the latest GasBuddy price report, Maine's pump prices fell 1.1 cents per gallon, to an average $2.52 a gallon. In Presque Isle, as of Monday morning, most stations were either at $2.64 or $2.65 a gallon

New Hampshire's prices dropped 1.5 cents per gallon in the last week, bringing the average to $2.47. Vermont's gas prices held steady from last week's $2.62 a gallon.

The national average price of gasoline is $2.55 per gallon. That's a drop of 6.5 cents from a month ago, and 28.9 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
