French Fry Lawsuit

It's a legal battle over getting your french fries in a twist.

Two major french fry producers are facing a court case over a twisty fry design. The J.R. Simplot company has filed a patent federal infringement lawsuit against McCain Foods. Simplot claims it came up with the twisty french fry idea with its "Sidewinders" in 2013. The Times-News reports the company says the twisty fries were an instant success. The suit charges McCain Foods' new "Twisted Potato" fries are copycats. No response yet from McCain Foods.
