One storm that battered the region at the end of September and beginning of October dumped nearly 6 inches of rain in some parts of the province, overwhelming drainage systems and flooding numerous homes and other buildings.

The government says you must first register any damages with Service New Brunswick and supply a property identification number (PID), which is found on property tax bills.

You can now pick up a water sampling kit at the nearest Service New Brunswick Centre or at regional offices of the Department of Environment and Local Government. Samples will be sent to the provincial laboratory in Fredericton for testing and the results will be made available to the well owners.  Click here for more details.
