Four People Arrested in Woodstock Pot Bust

Four people have been arrested and nearly 35 pounds of marihuana and $16,000 in cash were seized after a three-month investigation across the border in Woodstock, New Brunswick. 

On October 25th, a search warrant was conducted by Woodstock's Integrated Crime Reduction Unit at a home in Carter's Point, N.B. Two and half pounds of marihuana was seized, and 46-year-old Saint John man and a 45-year-old Saint John woman were arrested.

Following these arrests, the investigation continued. On Friday, December 13th, two vehicles were intercepted in Lincoln, N.B. Fifteen pounds of marihuana was seized, along with $14,300 in cash. A 58-year-old Woodstock man and a 60-year-old Woodstock woman were arrested. The 45-year-old woman who had been arrested in October was also arrested again. A further search of a residence in Woodstock led to the seizure of 18 additional pounds of marihuana, and $1500 in cash.

The Integrated Crime Reduction Unit (ICRU)from Woodstock includes members from the Woodstock Police Force and the West District RCMP. The ICRU was also assisted in this investigation by the Saint John Police Force Drug unit, the Fredericton Police Force Drug Unit, and the Capital Region Integrated Intelligence Unit which is comprised of members from the Canada Border Services Agency, West District RCMP, the RCMP in New Brunswick's Federal Operations - West, the Woodstock Police Force, and the Fredericton Police Force.

The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending. All four of those arrested have been released on conditions and are expected to appear in court at a later date.
