• She was born October 10, 1958 in Seminole, Texas.
• She was the youngest of three children, born Tanya Denise Tucker.
• By the age of fifteen, Tanya Tucker had already recorded her first Grammy nominated hit, as well as become one of the first country artists to appear on the cover of Rolling Stone magazine.
• She suffered with substance abuse problems. In 1988, her family finally convinced her to seek treatment at the Betty Ford Center, which she did.
• She started her own record label in 2002.
