Come One, Come All! The Anah Shrine Circus has Thrilling New Acts in Presque Isle
Anah Shrine Circus at the Forum
Everybody is excited to see the return of the Anah Shrine Circus in Presque Isle. It’s been two years since the last visit and there are big plans to put on incredible shows at the Forum, May 5, 6 & 7, 2022.
Good to be Back
Kenny Stewart, the Circus Chairman, said it’s good to be back and bring family entertainment to Aroostook County. “We haven’t had it for two years. We’re really looking forward to having it again this year.”
Performing Acts at the Circus
Animals are always featured entertainment at the circus, and this time around, Princess Colleens Camel Kingdom will be front and center. Also, Klose’s K-9 and Swine Revue is a dog act with America’s only performing pigs. Petrov’s Pony Drill Extravaganza is a fast-paced pony show.
There will also be an act returning to Star City that hasn’t been here for awhile. “Matilda & Mini doing tricks on horseback is always pretty thrilling,” said Stewart. “It’s been a few years since they’ve been here. It’s always nice to get them back.”
The death defying acts are always a thrill for audiences and will include the Tight Wire, the Sway Pole and the Aerial Walk of ILLUSION.
The Incline Motorcycle is a father and daughter team that puts on a great show. “The motorcycles are exciting, and a father and daughter act is something special,” said Stewart. ”It will be good and something new.”
There will also be Matti the Clown who is billed as the “Best Clown Ever." The Daring Horseman will perform. Plus, the Single Trapeze, Extreme Juggling and much more. These are some of the performers at the circus with more entertainment scheduled. Keep in mind, all acts are subject to change.
Featuring The Anah Shrine Clowns
The Anah Shrine Clowns are always a highlight of the circus. They will be making balloons, making fans laugh and just having fun. Stewart said, “The clowns and the circus are inseparable. They really excite the crowd and get the kids going and keep people entertained. They will be there before, during and after.”
Kids will have a fun time with some activities designed just for them. “Before the show and at intermission, you’ll be able to take pictures with “Iron Man.” There will also be face painting and a bouncy house for the kids.”
Bringing a Tradition Back
The organizers are glad to be back and returning to a tradition in northern Maine. Stewart said, “We’re glad to have the circus back again. It’s always been a right of passage for Aroostook County. A lot of people want to get out and they come to the circus.”
A Great Cause
Stewart said the funds from the circus go to a great cause. “The money collected helps Anah Shrine handle its financials and the organization. It helps in the quest to offer the Shriners hospitals for children at no expense to the patients’ care. It’s always an honor to help kids. We all take pride in it.”
