State Police said a large chunk of ice came off a vehicle and went thru the windshield of another vehicle on I-95 South in Houlton Saturday.

30-year-old Kristin Harmon from Bangor was passing 48-year-old Rose Rodriguez from Presque Isle when the ice hit Harmon's car. Harmon flagged down Rodriguez, and they pulled off to the side of the Interstate, said police. No one was injured.

Troopers issued Rodriguez a traffic summons for an unsecure load on her vehicle, a 2016 Jeep Compass.

Harmon’s 2016 Mazda 3 was towed away by York’s of Houlton Towing.

Maine State Police said, they “would like to remind all motorists to clear all snow/ice from their vehicles before driving on the public way."
