Central Maine Man Faces $1,000,000 Fine for Trafficking Conspiracy
A 46-year-old Bangor man pled guilty Thursday to conspiracy to distribute heroin and crack, according to U.S. Attorney Halsey B. Frank.
Court records show, Eric Tracy conspired with others to acquire heroin and crack in Waterbury, Connecticut to distribute in Penobscot County between January 2016 and February 2017. He sold and delivered drugs to customers and members of the conspiracy.
Tracy faces a $1,000,000 fine and 20 years in prison. He also faces between three years and life on supervised release. The U.S. Probation Office will complete a presentence investigation report before sentencing.
The U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency investigated the case. It is prosecuted as part of the Department of Justice’s Strategy to Combat the Opioid Epidemic.
