A Caribou man is heading to prison for 5 years with 20 years of supervised release for possessing child pornography.

U.S. Attorney, Halsey B. Frank stated that 22-year old Ryan T. Card was sentenced today in U.S. District Court by Chief Judge Nancy Torrensen.

Card pleaded guilty on February 27 to the charges.

According to the court's records, between November 2016 and April 2017, Card possessed images of child pornography on his cell phone.

At least one of the images, which he had looked for and downloaded from the online storage accounts on the internet, depicted a child under the age of 12.

The investigation was conducted, in part, by the Caribou Police Department, and the Maine State Police Computer Crimes Unit.
