A 70-year-old man was found dead in a bog off Stud Mill Road in Township 41.
Man’s Body Found in Bog and May Have Been Fur Trapping
David Bridges from Kennebunk “was found deceased in a bog just off the roadway. Bridges appeared to have been fur trapping in the area,” said Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.
Police Responded to a Report of a Body Found
Maine State Police Troopers located his body around 3:32 pm on Tuesday after a report of an unattended death on the 32000 Road in North Hancock County.
Cause and Manner of Death to be Determined
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta will determine the cause and manner of death.
Officials said Death Does Not Appear to be Suspicious
“The death does not appear to be suspicious,” according to the Maine Department of Public Safety.
Lead Investigators in the Case
The chief investigators in the case was the Maine Warden Service with assistance from the Maine State Police.
