The Codiac Regional RCMP continues to investigate the sudden deaths of a man and woman whose bodies were discovered Wednesday at a home in Moncton.

Police were called to the house at the corner of Purdy Avenue and Melville Street at around 11 a.m. Wednesday. Investigators remained on scene throughout the day, questioning neighbors and gathering evidence.

Police have confirmed the identities of the 54-year-old man and 40-year-old woman and are advising their families.

"The sudden deaths are still considered to be suspicious," said Cst. Jullie Rogers-Marsh with the New Brunswick RCMP. "But at this time the investigators do not believe that anyone else was involved in their deaths."

Autopsies to determine the exact cause of their deaths were being conducted Thursday in Saint John.
