Barony Man Sentenced for Drugs, Firearms & Illegal Tobacco Offences
A 67-year-old Barony, N.B. man has been sentenced to two years in prison following a guilty verdict on seven charges including trafficking in cocaine and cannabis, possession of illegal tobacco and unsafe storage of firearms.
Jean Claude Ouellet appeared in Woodstock Provincial Court on February 8, 2016, and was also ordered to submit a DNA sample, is facing $1630 in fines, and is prohibited from owning firearms for 10 years, as well as prohibited from acquiring prohibited firearms for life.
Ouellet was arrested on February 5, 2016, following an investigation that began in 2015 and was aimed at disrupting a criminal network supplying large quantities of illegal drugs in the Nackawic area.
