Bangor Man Was on Probation When the Argument Happened
John Cardoza, 60, of Bangor is charged with a felony charge of criminal threatening with a dangerous weapon. He's also incarcerated on a probation hold.

Police Say the Roommates Argued Over a Visiting Guest
Bangor Police say Cardoza was arrested on Monday night, after allegedly threatening his roommate with a knife. Just before midnight, the victim called the police to report their roommate had threatened them. When officers arrived at the Essex Street home, they separated Cardoza and the alleged victim and interviewed them both. Police learned that the two had been arguing about the victim having a guest come to visit.
Cardoza Was Taken to the Penobscot County Jail
After further investigation, the police officers gathered information that supported probable cause that the threatening with the knife had taken place. At that point, Cardoza was arrested and taken to the Penobscot County Jail.
