Airport officials say the incident occurred just after noon on Friday when alarms started going off. They say personnel carried out emergency procedures to evacuate both terminals, and evacuations took place without incident.

Passengers and employees were able to get back into the building after about 20 minutes. Airport director Tony Caruso says the airport is open on Friday afternoon and passengers are being screened or re-screened and getting to their flights.
