Over the weekend, Aroostook County Sheriff's Deputies managed to catch a suspect involved in the theft of prescription medications, clothing, and jewelry in Mars Hill.

According to the Aroostook County Sheriff's Office, deputies responded to a burglary report at an apartment on 77 Mains St., in Mars Hill on Saturday afternoon.

Later that day, evidence led deputies to suspect 22-year-old Renaldo Jones of the burglaries. Jones was located at Scovil Apartments in Mars Hill, where he was arrested.

Jones faces charges of burglary, violation of his conditions of release, and he's charged with assaulting an adult female, moments before his arrest on Saturday.

Jones was transported to the Aroostook County Jail, where he remains.

With the assistance of the Sheriff's Office police dog, Sheriff's Deputies recovered most of the medication, all of the clothing and all of the jewelry.

Jones will make an initial appearance in Caribou Superior Court on April 22, 2014.
