If you are a new entrepreneur or existing business owner, take your business back to school!

Beginning August 28, New Ventures Maine will offer a free twelve-week course in business planning.

The Venturing Forth class will meet on Wednesdays from 9:30 AM to 3:00 PM from August 28 through November 13 at the Presque Isle Career Center, 66 Spruce St, Presque Isle.

Venturing Forth will help you create a written business plan from start to finish with feedback from facilitators and fellow entrepreneurs. Venturing Forth is a 60-hour course that covers topics including your customer, legal aspects, financing, competition, marketing, taxes, record keeping, and more. The course includes class activities, guest speakers, homework assignments, plus 3 follow up networking sessions. The class is limited to 15 people and you must complete an application, attend an orientation and individual interview, and be accepted into the class.

Applications must be submitted by Friday, Aug. 16 and can be found online at bit.ly/VFPresqueIsle2019. Individual interviews will be scheduled following the class Orientation on Wednesday, August 21, from 9:30-11:30 AM.

There is no fee for the class and anyone with a business idea is welcome to apply. The 60-hour course also qualifies for 3 Pass/Fail credits from the University of Maine at Augusta.
