Animals Seized from Littleton Home After Lengthy Investigation

Several Aroostook County humane societies have stepped in to help more than 50 animals after the state seized the animals from a Littleton home after a more than two-year investigation.

According to WAGM-TV, officials with several agencies from all across the state were called to the home at 1064 Framingham Road in Littleton on Tuesday, including the director of animal welfare for the Department of Agriculture, Food and Rural Resource, the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office, Central Aroostook Humane Society and the Houlton Humane Society.

Official have said that the animals that were removed from the home were mostly dogs, but also included cats and some livestock.

Two adults were said to be living in the home.

The investigation continues.

The Houlton Humane Society is asking for donations of dog food to help.
