Anderson East's debut Austin City Limits episode will premiere on Saturday night (Oct. 20), but The Boot's readers are getting an exclusive first look at two of East's performances from his set. Press play above to watch East perform "Devil in Me;" below, fans can watch a performance of "This Too Shall Last."

"Devil in Me" appears on East's 2015 album Delilah, his first with Elektra / Low Country Sound; it was written by East, Mark Stephen Jones and Aaron Raitiere. "This Too Shall Last," meanwhile, comes from East's 2018 disc Encore. He and Raitiere co-wrote the track with Natalie Hemby.

East taped his ACL performance in June. In addition to "Devil in Me" and "This Too Shall Last," his set included "Girlfriend," "Satisfy Me" and "Surrender." A condensed, six-song set will be shown during his Austin City Limits episode, which he shares with Sam Smith.

“Sam Smith and Anderson East bare their souls in totally different ways,” says ACL Executive Producer Terry Lickona. “Sam starts with a whisper, then soars; Anderson starts with fireworks. What they have in common is their unabashed honesty and ability to make a powerful emotional connection with their audience.”

East and Smith's Austin City Limits episode is part of the iconic TV show's 44th season. The show airs on PBS. To find broadcast information for your area, visit ACLTV.com.
