Two people escaped injury after their vehicles collided late Sunday in front of a convenience store in New Sweden.

The Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office responded to the motor vehicle crash on Route 161 around 4:30 p.m. Sgt. Erica Pelletier's investigation determined that 62-year-old Francis Goodness of New Sweden was pulling out of Northstar Variety in his 2014 Toyota Tundra when he struck a 2002 Chevrolet Suburban.

Neither Goodness nor the 17-year-old New Sweden boy who was driving the other vehicle was injured in the crash. Police say both drivers were wearing their seat belts.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene due to disabling damage.
