A 1-month-old baby died after being found unresponsive at a home on Emery Street in Biddeford.

Baby Died after being Found Unresponsive

The Maine State Police said the baby was found unresponsive on June 15 around 11 am.

Transported to the Hospital

The baby was taken to Southern Maine Hospital in Biddeford and later transferred to Maine Medical Center in Portland.

Major Crimes Unit Investigating

The Maine State Police Major Crimes Unit South was brought in on the investigation as is standard protocol, said Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.

Baby Died at Hospital

The baby died on June 20. 

Cause and Manner of Death

The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta did an autopsy the next day. “Cause and Manner of death are being withheld at this time,” said Moss.
